Social Activities

There will be three organized social activities during the conference.  If you wish to participate, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page by August 25th, 2022.

Welcome Reception:

The reception will take place in the lobby of the Bloomfield building, at 6:00pm on Monday, September 5th. Beverages and cocktail-style food* will be served.

Afternoon Excursion:

Following lunch on Tuesday, September 6th, we will board Haifa’s new cable car up to Haifa University.  There, we’ll visit Dima’s memorial stone, raise a glass, and continue for a hike at Mount Carmel.  Sandwiches* and drinks will be provided.  We’ll return to the Technion via the cable car, and from there, transportation will be provided back to the hotel.  Participants who do not wish to take part in the trip will be provided transportation back to the hotel after lunch.

Farewell Banquet:

The farewell banquet will take place at Nura’s restaurant in the Druze town of Daliyat al-Karmel on the evening of Wednesday, September 7th.  A full, Druze style dinner* will be served.  Appropriate options will be provided for those who indicated dietary restrictions on the registration form. Transportation will be provided.
